Separate Legal Entity Concept

A limited liability company in Hong Kong is regarded as a separate legal entity.  It is separated and independent from its members (its shareholders). For example, if a property is sold to a newly formed company, the property belongs to the new company and does not belong to the company’s members or its creditors.   It is because a limited liability company in Hong Kong is a legal entity no matter how its shareholding structure changed.  It is perpetual.
